HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR AIR RIFLE AND BARRELS WHEN USING SLUGS:
For best results, keep your air rifle clean and well maintained. Regular care helps maintain consistent performance and protects the barrel and other components.
Keep the air rifle clean: Wipe down the exterior after use and remove any dirt, dust and debris. A clean rifle helps provide more consistent results.
Clean the barrel regularly: Follow the rifle manufacturer’s instructions for barrel cleaning. Use only cleaning equipment and products recommended for your specific air rifle.
Inspect the barrel: Check that the barrel is free from visible dirt, debris or any other obstructions before use. Never fire an air rifle if you suspect the barrel is obstructed.
Check for lead residue: Slugs can leave residue in the barrel. Clean the barrels as needed.
Lubricate correctly: Only lubricate parts specified by the manufacturer and use the recommended lubricant. Do not introduce unsuitable oils into the air system.
